일본 교토에서 날라온 일본인 친구의 편지

일본 전통자수를 수집하는 과정에서 알게된 오래된 일본인
지인이 있다. 일본자수 수집에 많은 도움을 주신 고마운 분이다.

몇년전에 가족이 오사카.교토를 방문할 때 잠시 만나 한.일간의
문화적인 우의를 다졌다. 아직도 멀고도 가깝게 느껴지는 
이웃이지만 한.일간에 자수를 통해 상호 문화적인 이해와
교류를 증진시킬려는 나의노력과 시도에 많은 격려와
도움을 주고 있다.

교토에서 한.일 문화교류를 위해 노력하시는 고려 미술관을
직접 방문하여 나의 컬렉션 도록을 전달하면서 관장님에게
나를 소개하여 주었다. 조만간 관장님께서는 일본인 예술가들과
함께 한국을 방문할 계획이 있다고 하신다. 방문기회에 시간이
주어지면 저희 동양자수박물관을 방문하고 싶다는 말씀을
전해 주었다.  일본 예술인단이 저희 박물관을 방문하게 되는
최초의 사례가 될 것이다. 다시 한번 감사드리고, 진심으로
환영하는 바입니다.

일본 교토를 여행하실 기회가 있으신 분들에게 꼭 고려 미술관
방문을 추천하고 싶다. 훌륭한 전시 유물관람과 더불어 전통차와
전통음식을 맛 볼 수 있는 좋은 추억의 기회가 될 것이다. 가장
일본적인 전통도시 교토에서 한국의 멋과 맛, 향기를 미묘하게 
느낄 수 있을 것 같다.

Dear Dr Young Kap Ahn,
 
It took 2 months for me until I visited Ms Risei, one of the nicest ladies in kyoto.
I'm very sorry it took so long.
 
Her family owns the following Korean museum in Kyoto. 
 
 
She has a nice Korean coffee shop surrounded by her fine Korean antiques, including many Korean books and records.
I  asked her to add your book and catalogue as her collection, so that many people are able to see them at her shop.
Gladly she was pleased to have them.
Surprised by joy,  she is leaving for Korea tomorrow with a group of Japanese artists.
They will visit the town close to your home.
" I will try to contact to Dr Young Kap Ahn, if I have time there", said she.
